The Last Luncheon of 2012 Was On The Pier

Our fall luncheon was again on the Pier because the end is in sight for its demolition. We enjoy the Pier, even though it is not the one we remember from SPHS days. The "Million Dollar Pier" has been assessed as unsafe because the pilings have been ravaged by salt water over the decades. The city fathers are seeking a new image for the waterfront and have elected to replace The Pier with a modern structure. Mixed feelings are held about the future design and structure.

Left to right are: Carol Beasley, Dave Beasley, June Ward Fleisher and Phyllis Reichelderfer Doescher.

Sally Cook Vazquez, Emil Sales and Frannie Ellinwood were there, too.

Against the sparkling water of Tampa Bay are left to right: Nancy Cramer Litten, Lil Olsen Classen and Bill Classen.
